Brothers and Sisters,
I hope that you and your families are safe and healthy.
In these unprecedented times, as we navigate this global pandemic and prepare for what the future holds, it is important that you know that your union is still working for you.
We stand together as union leaders and members to collectively overcome the challenges that threaten us. Whether it’s ensuring our contractors have the appropriate PPE for our members who are working during this pandemic or beating back an attempt to reduce our wages and benefits, we will use every tool at our disposal to protect our union way of life.
Now, more than ever, we need to ensure our voices are heard loudly and clearly by those who support us and those who would try to tear us down.
Whether that’s registering to vote and then voting, learning about issues that affect our union, or engaging directly in your community, we want to arm you with everything you will need to be heard.
That’s why we are launching LIUNAVotes.org.
LIUNAVotes.org will be your hub for all information related to the issues that impact our union quality of life and elections in our region. But it will be more than a website. It will become a communication tool to help us better deliver information to all our members.
But, for it to work, we need your help.
We need to know how to best communicate with you. Do you prefer receiving emails, text messages, or regular mail? Do you need it in your native language if it’s not English?
Therefore, we are asking every LiUNA member in the Eastern Region to please provide us with your updated contact information, as well as your preferred language. Please be assured this information will only be used for LiUNA communications and will not be shared with anyone outside of our union.
Please follow the instructions and provide your information to us to make sure we know how to reach you.
Remember, in these trying and uncertain times, one thing remains true – we are LIUNA STRONG!
I thank you in advance for your participation.
